Fresh off his Lil Durk collaboration, Morgan Wallen is eyeing a collaboration with Kendrick Lamar.

During a Clubhouse chat with Druski, the embattled country crooner revealed that he primarily listens to hip-hop and Moneybagg Yo is among his favorite artists.

“I do love Moneybagg… He’s definitely at the top of the list,” Wallen said, according to Variety. “Honestly, my top stuff on Spotify was all hip-hop. … Moneybagg is probably my favorite. And I listened to a lot of Young Dolph — RIP. I listened to Drake’s new album. I listen to Kanye. … I’ve been listening to a little bit of Gunna. I like him pretty good.”

But when asked who he would like to collaborate with most, he set his sights on King Kendrick. “But like overall, ever… I’m trying to think of not just in the past little bit… Kendrick Lamar would be pretty cool,” he added.

A Kendrick collab might be a longshot as the Compton rapper once famously shut down a white fan for singing the N-word on stage during an Alabama music festival.

While his N-word controversy was not brought up during Clubhouse, Wallen was asked how his country/hip-hop crossover record with Durk, “Broadway Girls,” came together.

“Durk commented on my Instagram…. So I hit him up,” he said. “Me and him had been talking a little bit throughout the year and kind of developed a friendship.”

Wallen posted a snippet of the song on Instagram and it caught Durk’s attention. “I was like, ‘I don’t know if you’re serious [about collaborating] or not, but here’s a couple of versions.’ And he took the song… I said, ‘I’m not gonna put out an album for a while. If you just want to throw this on yours, go ahead.’ So he did and I’m super pumped about it.”

“Broadway Girls” is off to a strong start, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It comes less than a year after a video surfaced of Wallen using the N-word after a drunken night out with friends. Amid the controversy, he was suspended by his record label and radio stations stopped playing his music, but his album Dangerous: The Double Album still remained the best-selling album of 2021.

Trey Songz is facing more scathing accusations.

On Thursday night (Dec. 30), former University of Las Vegas women’s basketball star Dylan Gonzalez put the R&B singer on blast, alleging that he is a rapist.

“Trey Songz is a rapist,” Gonzalez told her Twitter and Instagram followers. “Lord forgive me I Couldn’t hold that in another year. See you in 2022.”

Gonzalez did not specify whether she personally was a victim, but this would not be the first time Trey has been accused of sexual assault.

In November, police were investigating sexual abuse claims against Trey following his 37th birthday at a Las Vegas nightclub, however, no arrests were made.

Keke Palmer previously exposed Trey for his questionable behavior, claiming he “secretly filmed” her and used “sexual intimidation” to coerce her into appearing in his 2017 video for “Pick Up the Phone.” Trey responded to the accusations, writing, “Babygirl buggin. Point blank period.”

Last year, socialite Celina Powell accused Trey of holding her “hostage” and sexually assaulting her in a hotel bathroom. Trey responded to the accusations in a series of tweets.

“I usually stay quiet on this, but I feel that in many ways the movement to fight for the women who actually have suffered harassment and abuse on various levels, has been hijacked by those who find it convenient for themselves to come up as they seek to destroy someone’s life,” he wrote.

Trey also shared texts from other women who have accused him of sexual abuse, including one Jane Doe who sued him for $10 million for sexually assaulting her in a Miami nightclub. In April, he reached a settlement with the alleged victim.

Call him by his new name.

Tyler, the Creator has had his stage name since he was 13, but he may soon be opting for a new moniker. In an interview with Fast Company, the Call Me If You Get Lost rapper revealed the origins of his name.

“My stage name was from, I made a MySpace page when I was 13,” he said. “I had three of them, one was regular for friends, another one was for something else, and then the third one was just ideas. I would put drawings and photos I would take, and like, my beats, I would upload ’em on there.”

After he started gaining recognition, he decided to keep Tyler, the Creator as his stage name. “It’s really dumb, but it stuck with me so it just works,” he added.

But his days as Tyler, the Creator could be numbered. Now 30 years old, Tyler is considering using his real name, Tyler Okonma, for upcoming projects.

“But my full name, Tyler Okonma, in all caps just looks really cool,” he said. “So you might see more of that, I don’t know, I’m getting older and I think when people get older, they start to realize shit and liking things they didn’t like. You just start changing, so I think my version of that is looking at my name and saying, ‘Oh, this is actually cool.’”

At first, he felt disconnected to his government name. “I always thought my last name was weird, but whatever,” he said. “I started fu**ing with it more around 2016, and then I started putting it on my album covers.”

His birth name has made more recent appearances, including on the cover of his 2019 album IGOR. “I really f**k with that name now. It looks really cool in all caps,” he said.

While paying tribute to Virgil Abloh, Tyler revealed that the late fashion designer inspired him to embrace his last name.

“Few years back I started using more of my African last name OKONMA because of how regal Virgil’s felt,” he wrote. “Everything he did felt like he said ‘hey over here, coast is clear’ whenever I questioned things.”

It’s been an eventful year for the Golf Wang founder, who released his Grammy-nominated album Call Me If You Get Lost in June. Earlier this month, he launched his first fragrance, French Waltz.

Nicki Minaj is mourning the death of her business manager.

Angela “Angie” Kukawski was reported missing on Dec. 22. The following day, police discovered the body of the 55-year-old celebrity manager inside the trunk of her car in Simi Valley, Calif. Her death has been ruled a homicide by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Kukawski, who was a mother to five children, worked at Boulevard Management in Woodland Hills, which specializes in accounting and financial management services for entertainers, athletes, and entrepreneurs, according to Variety.

Kukawski’s famous clients included Kanye West, Offset, the Kardashians, the estate of Tupac Shakur, and Nicki Minaj.

In a post on her Instagram Story, Minaj paid tribute to her late manager. “Hardest working, most reliable, sweetest person you could ever know. You didn’t deserve this, Angela. My heart is breaking for your children. Rest In Peace,” she wrote.

The Kardashian family described Kukawski as “truly the best” in a statement to E! News. “She cared about everyone of us and made things happen that were impossible,” the family said. “She will be greatly missed and we send our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones during this most difficult time.”

The Simi Valley Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department have arrested Kukawski’s 49-year-old boyfriend, Jason Barker, on suspicion of murder. Barker allegedly killed Kukawski inside their shared home in Sherman Oaks, placed her inside her car, and drove to Simi Valley.

Barker was booked into Van Nuys Jail and is being held on $3.07 million bond.

Dr. Dre has struck a $100 million deal in his divorce battle.

The hip-hop mogul has agreed to pay his ex-wife Nicole Young $100 million as part of a property settlement agreement. She will get $50 million now and $50 million a year from now.

As part of the settlement, Dre will keep seven of the properties they shared—a Malibu home, two homes in Calabasas, and four properties in the L.A. area, including a $100 million Brentwood mansion.

According to TMZ, Dre is “delighted” that his ex is only getting a fraction of his estate, which is valued at $820 million.

Additionally, Dre will retain full rights to his master recordings, trademarks, and interests in various partnerships and trusts. He also will hold onto all of his Apple stocks, which includes the proceeds from the 2014 sale of Beats by Dre.

They will divide their vehicles—he gets six and she gets four. Nicole will keep jewelry, cash, and bank accounts that she had maintained during the marriage.

She must pay her own legal fees, which amount to millions of dollars. The settlement also prevents her from getting spousal support.

Sources close to Dre say Nicole could have received more had she settled a year ago. “She could have even been on the field for the Super Bowl halftime show as a friendly ex-wife,” said one source.

Nicole filed for divorce from Dre in June 2020 after 24 years of marriage. It was a lengthy and bitter proceeding, with Nicole reportedly attempting to serve Dre with legal documents while he was attending a funeral for his grandmother.

Dre recently celebrated the end of the contentious marriage by posing under a balloon arch that said “Divorced AF.”

Kanye West is living the single life.

Amid his breakup from model Vinetria, Ye is sparking more romance rumors. According to TMZ, he was out partying with Instagram model Yasmine Lopez.

Kanye was in Houston for J Mulan’s birthday on Tuesday night (Dec. 28). He and internet personality Justin LaBoy pulled up to James Harden’s Thirteen restaurant in Houston for the bash. Video on social media shows Ye mingling with Lopez and J Mulan as his song “Number One” played over the speaker.

However, Ye and Yasmine are not hooking up. Sources close to both tell TMZ that they’re not dating. They were there separately and interacted, but there’s nothing romantic going on.

This comes as Kim Kardashian filed to be legally single from her husband while they work out the terms of their divorce. The Skims mogul, who is now dating Pete Davidson, is also seeking to drop “West” from her last name and restore her maiden name.

Ye seems to be moving on despite pleas to win back Kim. He recently broke up with model Vinetria after just a few months of dating. Prior to that, he was linked to supermodel Irina Shayk.

However, he wants to remain close to his family. He recently purchased the house directly across the street from Kim and their four kids in Hidden Hills, Calif. The billionaire bachelor paid $4.5 million for the 3,600-square-foot fixer-upper and plans to renovate it.

Never abandon your family.

Despite his divorce from Kim Kardashian, Kanye West wants to remain close to his family. The billionaire bachelor has paid $4.5 million for the house across the street from his estranged wife in the gated community of Hidden Hills, Calif.

According to, the single-story home was built in 1955 and has never been on the market since. The 3,600-square-foot property features four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, plus a guest studio with another bedroom and full bathroom. The equestrian ranch sits on over an acre of land, and also includes horse stables, a barn, and a pool.

Kanye used to live directly across the street with Kim and their four kids in their $60 million home. Kim paid Kanye $23 million to buy out his 50 percent stake in the minimalist mansion, which was featured in Architectural Digest.

This comes as Kanye has pleaded to keep his family together. While donating Thanksgiving meals at the L.A. Mission last month, he alluded to his new real estate purchase.

“I have to be next to my children as much as possible. So, when I’m out the house, I’ve got a house right next to the house. I’m doing everything to be right next to the situation,” he said.

Kanye also owns a house in nearby Malibu, which he purchased for $57.3 million in September. In October, he listed his Wyoming ranch for $11 million.

Despite his attempts to win back his wife, Kim recently filed to be legally single from Kanye amid their divorce proceedings. The Skims mogul, who is now dating Pete Davidson, is also seeking to drop “West” from her last name and restore her maiden name.

Who needs Santa Claus when you have Drake?

The 6 God spread the wealth in his hometown this Christmas. Drake drove through Toronto on Christmas Day handing out stacks of cash to unsuspecting people on the streets.

One video posted on social media shows Drizzy riding in the backseat of a Maybach while passing out racks. It’s unclear how much he gave away, but it appeared to be a stack of 20 Canadian dollars.

“@Champagnepapi giving away racks for Christmas,” wrote one of the lucky people on the receiving end of Drake’s good deed. “Life’s fu**ing unreal man. Legend of the city.”

Fans praised him as a “legend,” while others lamented over not being able to get their hands on the cash.

Drake celebrated the holidays with his son Adonis. The proud dad shared a heartwarming video of them goofing around, while wishing his 99 million followers.

“Merry Christmas From The Gang,” he wrote.

J. Cole helped put on Kendrick Lamar.

Speaking with Nardwuar, the Dreamville rapper revealed that he was partly responsible for getting Dr. Dre to sign his friend from Compton. When discussing his role in Kendrick’s signing, Cole took a long pause before acknowledging that this was the first time he had been asked the question.

“Who told you that? Who gave you that piece of information?” Cole said before admitting, “The answer is, yes, I did. I’m not gonna say I was the first to tell him.”

Cole brought up Kendrick to Dre while they were in the studio working on Detox. “I was like, ‘Yo, you gotta sign this kid from Compton.’”

Dre ultimately listened to Cole and signed Kendrick to Aftermath. “Shout out to Dr. Dre. He made the right decision,” said Cole.

When asked if he would have signed Kendrick to his own label, Cole said “100 percent,” but he didn’t have the resources at the time. “I don’t know what I would have signed him to, we didn’t have our business in tact,” he laughed, “but that’s how much I rocked with him.”

The first time he met Kendrick, Cole said he was “highly impressed” and wanted to make him his first signee. “That would have been the first artist in my mind, but come to find out, he had bigger shit going on.”

Cole and Kendrick have collaborated throughout the years on tracks including “Forbidden Fruit,” Jeezy’s “American Dream,” and DJ Khaled’s “They Ready.” They even teased a joint project, which never saw the light of day.

“We just did a few songs. We did a bunch of ideas,” Cole told Angie Martinez in a 2018 interview. “You wouldn’t call it an album, you wouldn’t call it nothing like that. It didn’t come from nowhere, it came from us. But it’s not something that’s actively happening. I don’t want to play with people’s emotions. He got a career, I got a career. I got a family, he got a family. It would have been easier back then.”

Doja Cat is capping off an incredible year, and she has more in store for 2022.

Taking to Instagram Live on Christmas Eve, the “Kiss Me More” hitmaker shared her future plans including two new projects, one pop and the other hip-hop.

The first would be a 7-track pop-rap album, followed by a 12-song hip-hop album, and she wants Jay Versace and 9th Wonder to produce the latter.

“New project, 12 songs, all of them, every fu**in’ one, Jay Versace and 9th Wonder,” she said. “Jay is like a fantastic producer.”

After she shouted him out, Jay Versace popped up in her IG Live. “I would do a 12-14-song album with you and 9th Wonder,” she told him.

9th Wonder also responded after hearing his name mentioned. “Say what now?” he tweeted.

While Doja has had major success in pop, she still wants to be known as a rapper. “Anyone who says that I’m not a rapper is in denial,” she said in response to the debate over whether she should be classified as a rapper or a pop artist. “They don’t know what they’re talking about.”

Doja released her latest album Planet Her in June. It earned her eight Grammy nominations including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
